Scheduling
Scheduling is flexible and by appointment only. For Equine appointments, Dr. Jess will travel to your farm to see your horse. Canine appointments will be seen at the office, located in Orchard Park. Call at 716-253-2408 and we will find a time that works for you.
Please have your Forms filled out prior to your initial appointment.
The initial appointment
Dr. Jess will start with a comprehensive review of your animal’s history, previous therapies you have or are currently trying, and a discussion of your goals. She will then perform a full physical and neurologic examination of your animal. She will evaluate your animal’s movement using diagnostic palpation and observation of their gait.
We will then formulate a treatment plan specifically designed to your animal’s needs and goals. The first adjustment is then performed.
Dr. Jess may recommend follow-up exercises for you to perform with your animal between visits. A follow-up visit may then be scheduled.
Equine appointments
An initial equine appointment usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, as it includes both a complete examination as well as an adjustment. Follow-up appointments take 20 to 30 minutes per horse. Horses should be clean and dry, wearing a halter and lead rope prior to the appointment. A spacious and level area will be required.
Canine appointments
An initial canine appointment usually takes 30 to 45 minutes, as it includes both a complete examination as well as an adjustment. Follow-up appointments last 15 to 20 minutes. Dogs should come to the office wearing a collar/harness and leash.
Fees
Fees are based on the services provided and a travel charge based on your distance from our location in Orchard Park, NY. Follow up appointments are charged at a lesser rate than initial appointments. The travel fee is charged once per location, so if there are multiple patients at a location on the same day, this fee can be divided amongst them.
Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, credit, Zelle, or personal check.
